Maintaining a clean pool is one of the best ways of avoiding being infected by diseases. These pools are mostly used by your family members and other people. Therefore it is better if you keep it clean than spending money on hospital bills. Knowing how to clean algae from pool should be in the mind of every pool owner for better outcomes.

For the cleaning process to be effective and also use less time, you need to be organized. Have all the tools needed to get the job done and be sure to arrange them from the most important to the least important one. This will help you a lot when you start the task. It will also ensure everything runs smoothly.

Algae is a common problem which appears as a green colored growth in the floor and at the walls of a puddle. The most common substance known for cleaning water is chlorine. In order to maintain an algae free pond, you need to use chlorine in cleaning the water. One of the equipment you need is a chlorine-based pool shock. Use the equipment to add chlorine to the pond for better results.

Brush and wash the floor and walls of the pond before you add the chlorine. Doing this will help you in removing any algae that might have stuck a lot. It will also help you in saving the amount of chemical and time you use in the process. The remaining amount might also be used later or even help a friend who has the same problem.

For the chlorine to work effectively you need to make sure that the ph level of the water in the puddle is between 7.2 and 7.6. A lesser or higher ph level will make the chlorine not to work effectively. Therefore you will waste the substance and get zero results which is not good.

You are required to let the chemicals stay in the water for a maximum of 24-hours. After this time has elapsed drain all the water from the puddle and make sure that you cannot see any greenish appearing from anywhere. For you to be assured that the water is cleaned it will turn to greyish after the 24-hours have elapsed.

After doing the above procedure make sure you clean all the tools you used in cleaning the puddle. Doing this will help you get rid of the chances of them growing again. Take your time cleaning the tools. It is better to take any preventive measures you can to avoid them from growing back.

If you follow the above steps you will be sure to get a clean pond. But the most important thing is to maintain cleanliness in your pool. Wash it as regularly as you can.
