Pros And Cons Of Healthcare Merger Integration

By Mary Hamilton

Some people are unaware of some current issues happening in their society. When it comes to their health, they should be updated on how the government works together with medical professionals for personal interests. Even though this is not yet the severity of a case, we should still be mindful with these things. In this article, we will know about healthcare merger integration.

These issues have constantly been debated upon because of its several oppositions. Brining up an issue does not mean you will have to approve it by yourself and the non opposing parties. Some countries are living in a democratic way and the government is allowing anyone or any citizen to raise their concerns in appropriate and non chaotic means. This could benefit their countrymen the most.

For example, when a particular brand of vitamin is advertising their name, they will set up a stall for free blood pressure test. Afterwards, the nurse or medical staff will then say something about the product and encourage you to buy it. Everything comes with a price. Whether you like it not, there will always be a cost.

As responsible and concerned citizens of our country, we have to be vigilant and educated about these possibilities and faulty businesses. We are dealing with the welfare of our fellow countrymen. Therefore, we should never allow professional malpractices to rule over and defeat our main intentions. Some people are merely taking advantage of our dependence.

These issues are only resolved when we also have the idea about the alternative prices and the actual prices of these medications. If they provide us expensive prescriptions, then we could ask the pharmacists about the alternative brands. These professionals are more commercialized nowadays. Thus, we must only consult the right doctors.

This usually happens in private hospitals. If a private medical center is slowly losing its ability to manage and function itself, then they might be forced to merge with their competitors. This will help them regain their power by surrendering their license to another operating hospital firm. In this way, they will save themselves from bankruptcy.

However, it surely would result to lots of dangerous consequences. It might result to capitalization and price manipulation. When two big companies centralize their services, they could not easily play with medicine prices. It is because their patients have no other alternatives at all. Therefore, they will be forced to buy their supplies.

As a solution, they allowed and permitted these centers to share privileges and ownership with other medical centers. Some hospitals agree to have partnership with other hospitals so that they could easily manipulate their prices. This means they will be tempted to centralize their services and functions. As a result, patients will no longer afford to avail their services.

We cannot allow these businessmen and professionals to take advantage of their power and skills. Even though they were the only ones who have the ability to cure diseases, they should learn how to play fair. Instead of compromising their quality services, they could just partner with other hospitals without overpricing their products. In this way, they can still extend their services to those who cannot afford these rates.
